Open Water Swim
#SummerSundays2025 at Lake Clare!
05/11 - 09/21 (with few exceptions and some make up dates)
The L4L Aquatics Safety Team set various courses for you to practice your open water swim skills in a safe environment. Practice begins @ 1pm and will end upon the last swimmer exiting the water.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!! The number of swimmers dictates course set up, volunteers, & lifeguards
*Must be 14+ YO
*Must be able to swim comfortably in a pool
*Check-In 15 minutes prior to practice

SUP 101
Learn the basics of Stand-Up Paddle board (SUP) safety, gear, and maneuvering.
Never tried it. Want to? But seems scary? We get it. Our trained instructors are here to teach you the basics from identifying the parts and carrying your board to feeling confident in your choice of stances and paddling strokes. Falling is not required but we do teach how to safely do that too! Yes, and get back on.

Huntington Mile
The Huntington Mile is a one AND two mile USMS-sanctioned open-water swim race at Lake Clare, a 65+ acre piece of recreational land, in Huntington, Indiana for experienced swimmers. The event is presented and organized by L4L Community Studios, a volunteer-operated 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to creating space for community members to experience affordable land and water programming surrounding faith, fitness, food, fellowship, and fun! The Huntington Mile Swim Series and Race is a fundraising event that helps fund our aquatics programming and to bring awareness to open water swimming and the safety that comes along with such a sport. You will find the L4L Aquatics Safety Team on the water and on land keeping the swimmers safe on Summer Sundays and on race day.
Join the USMS Swim Club, L4L Aquatics (L4LA) and our host, L4L Community Studios, a non profit organization, at Lake Clare for The Huntington Mile Open Water Swim Series. The 2025 race date for The Huntington Mile Open Water Swim Series Race is Sunday, September 14th at 9am!

Accessible to everyone, B-BOARD WORKOUT® is a safe training program that will engage your core and challenge your balance. B-BOARD® is a unique inflatable balance board on which all exercises can be performed: squats, burpees, push-ups, plank, yoga combinations, Pilates, stretching and meditation. B-BOARD® BREATHE is the holistic version: mixing yoga, Pilates, stretching and meditation. Each session ends with a mindful sound meditation.

Recovery yoga is designed around the 12 Steps of Recovery; 8 Principles of Celebrate Recovery; and 8 Limbs of Yoga Principles. Your certified leader is experienced in trauma recovery utilizing these vital tools for a healthy lifestyle.
Having a tribe of support while breathing through the journey aligns our walk with the purpose of love of self and others.
