Meet Amber Miller
Cardio Drumming Instructor
Amber Miller is a Huntington native, physical therapist, small business owner, and longtime cardio drumming instructor who is excited to bring her love of movement, music, and community to L4L Community Studios | Land + Water.
Amber earned her undergraduate degree from Ball State University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Evansville. She has worked as a physical therapist for the past 12 years and currently serves as a physical therapist within the school system. Her professional experience has given her a unique appreciation for movement and the many ways it can support people throughout everyday life.
Amber is also the owner of Highway Blends in Roanoke, where the mission is simple: “Helping busy people make healthier choices!” From protein shakes and coffees to teas, hydration options, and caffeine-free choices, Highway Blends reflects another side of Amber's passion for making wellness approachable, enjoyable, and easier to fit into busy lives.
For approximately six years, Amber has also been teaching cardio drumming and building community through Huntington County Cardio Drumming. She loves the combination of music, movement, energy, and connection that happens when people pick up a pair of drumsticks and simply have fun moving together.
After taking an eight-month break from teaching group fitness, Amber is excited to pick up the drumsticks again and begin a new chapter as part of the L4L volunteer team. While her background in physical therapy gives her a deep understanding of movement, what she loves about cardio drumming goes beyond exercise. It's energetic, approachable, social, and—most importantly—fun. She's looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and creating a space where people can move, laugh, drum, and enjoy being active together.
Outside of work and teaching, Amber enjoys going for walks and spending time with her boyfriend, Brandon, and his son, Ethan. And then there's the rest of the family: their dogs, Aurora, a Lab/Shepherd mix, and Milo, a Lab/Great Pyrenees mix; KuneKune pigs Maple and Winnie; cats Pepper and Loki; and one chicken.
With a household like that, Amber jokingly tells her mom they're basically a “kindergarten field trip.” And somehow, that description feels pretty fitting for Amber herself—busy, welcoming, full of life, and always ready to have a little fun along the way.
Amber is excited to return to teaching, meet the L4L community, and make some noise together!
